The Red and White will play in front of their home fans for the first time in 23 days on Friday when the Toronto Argonauts come to town in Week 16 action.
A win this weekend for Calgary will clinch the first spot in the CFL’s postseason this year and a 14th consecutive playoff berth for the Stamps.
The Stampeders are coming off their third and final bye week of the season. Prior to the break, Calgary picked up a 43-28 road win in Hamilton to improve to a league-leading 10-2. The Argos, now 3-9 on the year, were dealt a fourth straight defeat last week. Saskatchewan came out on top by a score of 30-29 last Saturday at BMO Field.
Having earned their six triumphs at McMahon Stadium by an average of 11 points per game, Calgary is the lone team in the CFL with an unblemished record at home and will be going up against a Toronto side which is 0-5 as the visitors.
With 37 offensive touchdowns scored as a team thus far, the Stampeders sit second in the category, while short yardage quarterback James Franklin of the Argonauts is second among all players will 10 majors himself.
Toronto has not been victorious in Calgary since 2013 and Bo Levi Mitchell is a perfect 9-0 when facing the Argos in regular-season action.
This will be the second and final meeting this year between the Stamps and Argonauts following a 41-7 decision in favor of the Stampeders back on June 23.
