We had to come out and show Toronto what the 2018 Calgary Stampeders are like. That was our whole focus for this game, show what 2018 is about – not last year, not six months ago, but now.

The hogs did their job, our guys up front. When Bo plays the way he played, it’s hard to stop the run. But we make sure Bo is doing his thing, the receivers are doing their thing, the guys up front are blocking hard, and that’s going to open things up for Terry and me.

We just need to stay hot, read the keys, and trust the guys up front. The receivers are doing a good job of blocking on the perimeters too – when everybody is doing their job it’s hard to stop us two.

On my 59-yard catch, I saw we had everything really blocked up, DaVaris Daniels noticed I was coming front side and he anchored his man, so the wide side was open and there wasn’t so much to do. But I ran out of gas, which just means I have to go back to practice and keep running my sprints. Next time I’ll finish it and take it the whole way.

But to be honest, I still don’t care about any numbers. All I care about is making sure we’re getting wins. At the end of the year I want us to look up and say we’re proud of where we’re at, that’s all we’re looking forward to.

With the guys we’ve got up front, and me and Terry in the backfield I think we can make a really big impact on this league. We’ve just got to keep building every single week, where we’ve put ourselves this week, we’ll build on that and try to go even higher.

All I know is I have faith in the work I was putting in when I was getting ready to come up here. I want to make sure the guys are putting their faith in me, that’s all I’ve ever wanted was for coaches, staff and the team to put their faith in me, and that’s what they’re doing
