Here’s a closer look at the Stamps’ 25-22 win over the Eskimos in the Labour Day rematch at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday:

Ruling the rematch

The Stamps have enjoyed recent success in the Labour Day Classic and they’ve been even better in the return engagement in Edmonton.

Saturday’s win Commonwealth was Calgary’s 10th in the past 11 seasons in the Labour Day rematch game. The Stamps have been 9-2 in the Labour Day Classic at McMahon Stadium during the same time frame.

This year marks the fifth time in six seasons and the seventh time in nine years the Stamps have swept the Labour Day series.

Rolling to seven

With a seventh consecutive victory, the Stamps have matched the longest winning streak in the CFL this season. Edmonton opened the current campaign with seven consecutive wins.

This is the third seven-game winning in two seasons for the Stamps if you count last year’s 14-game winning streak as back-to-back seven-gamers.

Prior to last year, the Stamps hadn’t won seven in a row since 2010.

A winning decade

With Saturday’s result, the Stamps have clinched a 10th consecutive winning season.

That’s the second-longest run of over-.500 seasons in franchise history, surpassed only by the 12 consecutive winning seasons posted by Calgary from 1989-2000.

The Stamps by far have the longest active streak of winning seasons – the Eskimos, who carried a three-year streak into 2017, have the second-longest run.

Super Dave

The Stamps’ run of 10 consecutive winning seasons is remarkable, but Dave Dickenson’s personal record is even more impressive.

In 19 seasons in the CFL as a player, assistant coach and head coach, Dickenson has never been on a losing team. Counting the games he was in uniform as a quarterback with the Stamps (1997-2000, 2008) and Lions (2003-07) and his nine seasons on the Calgary coaching staff, Dickenson has a career record of 209-85-4 in the CFL.

A centennial to celebrate

On Labour Day, Anthony Parker celebrated his 100th career regular-season game by scoring a touchdown in the Stamps win over the Esks.

In Saturday’s rematch, Bo Levi Mitchell came up with a pretty good way to celebrate his own 100th career game as he led the Stamps on a last-minute drive to lead Calgary to a comeback victory. Parker played a key role in the game-winning march as his leaping, juggling catch for a 44-yard gain gave Calgary a first-and-goal from the five-yard line. Three plays later, Mitchell found Marquay McDaniel for the go-ahead touchdown.

Mitchell’s 100 games as a Stamp include 62 starts and he boasts a record of 52-8-2.

Dominating the division

Calgary dropped a 20-18 decision at BC Place in the 2016 season-opener.

Since that game, the Stamps have won 14 consecutive victories against West Division. That’s Calgary’s longest such streak since interdivisional play in the CFL began in 1961.

Here, there and everywhere

It was quite a Labour Day series for Stamps middle linebacker Alex Singleton, who amassed 24 tackles in the two games – a team-record-tying 13 on Labour Day and 11 in the rematch.

Singleton now has three double-digit tackle games this season and four in his young career. Since 2009, there have seven double-digit tackle games by a Stamp and Singleton owns four of them.

Singleton is on pace to set the Stamps’ single-season record in tackles as well as breaking Kevin Eiben’s mark (113) for most tackles in one season by a Canadian player.
