Getting to know… Kamar Jorden

Receiver Kamar Jorden in a 2015 pre-season game against BC.

Receiver Kamar Jorden first joined the Red and White at the end of the 2013 season as a practice roster player. He saw action on Nov. 1, 2014, and contributed with a seven-yard catch and two special-teams tackles. He played two games last season and made two catches for six yards.

Jorden attended training camp with the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings and played for the Arena Football League’s Spokane Shock before signing with the Stamps.

The Pennsylvania native played three full seasons at Bowling Green where his 96 catches for 1,109 yards in 2010 were both third-best totals in school history.

We gave Kamar 10 sentences to finish, the rest is all him.

A product from an infomercial I would most like to own is… a Snuggie. I think it’s more so a bucket list thing, just to be able to say I tried one out. So if someone happened to give me a Snuggie as a Christmas gift, I wouldn’t be mad.

My favourite breakfast is… BAE. Who doesn’t love bae!? (Bacon and Eggs)

The last time I apologized was… when I told all my friends we wouldn’t be friends anymore when I won the $1 billion Powerball jackpot. So I apologized for that… after I knew I didn’t win the money, of course. Lol

The last big trip I took was to… sunny Southern California! The beaches, the scenery, the people, the food! Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles, In-n-Out burgers, mannn!

Of all of the Stamps receivers, I am the… best dancer, by far! I’m accepting all dance-off challenges from players, staff, fans, Outriders, even Ralph! Bring it on! Lol

I own a lot of… football gloves. From college through the pros, I’ve been collecting and saving my gloves from all the different teams and different leagues I’ve come across for about five years now. I’ve just recently gave away a bunch of them to the guys at my old high school, but I’ll build the collection back up in no time.

In the off-season I… spend a lot of time with my family and friends back home in Darby and Philly. Usually by February I’m back into straight grind-mode, getting ready for the upcoming season with my trainer Jeffrey Johnson out in Michigan.

Bowling Green was… life-changing. From the community & fans, the things I’ve learned on campus those three years coming from junior college, to the life-long friends I’ve made there… BGSU has been a great influence on who I am today. Forever bleeding orange and brown! Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba!

The word I tend to overuse the most is… Chillin’. As much I like to have fun and be outgoing, people who really know me know I’m naturally laid back.  Chillin’ is usually the term I use to explain that lax, laid back side of me.

A time in my life I’d like to live through again would be… high school. If I could go back to my teenage years knowing the different types of people and places I could potentially get to meet and see, and all the opportunities that could come along with it, I would have taken way more advantage of everything I had around me.  As a bonus maybe I would have won homecoming king this time around, who knows!
