2026

(Calgary) Mills has played 10 games and made 10 starts. He has 129 carries for 756 yards for an average of 5.8 yards along with three touchdowns. Mills also has 23 catches for 206 yards and two more scores with his first career receiving major coming in Week 4 against BC in Kelowna. In Week 7, he had 130 rushing yards and one touchdown along with a two-point conversion as he was named a CFL Player of the Week.

 

2025

(Calgary) Mills played 18 games and made 18 starts at tailback as he won the CFL rushing crown. He earned the Stampeders’ nomination for Most Outstanding Player and was selected to both the West Division All-CFL team and All-CFL team. He had single-season career highs of 1,409 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns as well as a two-point convert. He also had 33 receptions for 292 yards. In a season-opening win over Hamilton, Mills scored a career-high three rushing touchdowns and produced 124 yards from scrimmage including 94 rushing yards and 30 receiving yards on three catches. In Week 3, he had 123 yards from scrimmage including 96 rushing and 27 receiving. Mills had a pair of rushing majors in Week 8 against Montreal. In Week 10 against Winnipeg, Mills rushed for 105 yards. He went one yard better in the Labour Day Classic as he rushed for a season-high 106 yards and scored on a two-point convert. In Week 16 against BC, Mills had 123 yards from scrimmage including 72 rushing and 51 receiving. In Week 17 at Montreal, he surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in a season for the first time in his career. Mills had 105 rushing yards and two majors in a Week 19 victory at Hamilton. In Week 20 against Toronto, Mills rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown and had two catches for 62 yards. In the Western Semi-Final at BC, Mills had 14 carries for 111 yards including a long of 43 yards as well as three receptions for 25 yards.

 

2024

(Calgary) Mills played 13 games and made 12 starts at tailback. He had 163 carries for 923 yards and 31 catches for 327 yards. In Week 1 against Hamilton, Mills carried the ball 13 times for 87 yards – an average of 6.7 yards per rushing attempt – and added two catches for 19 yards. In Week 2 at BC, he tied his personal single-game high with six catches and set a new career single-game mark with 99 receiving yards including a 46-yard catch that was a new personal best. In Week 6 at Winnipeg, he registered the sixth 100-yard rushing game of his career as he had 15 carries for 131 yards including a 53-yard gallop. In Week 15 against Montreal, he again eclipsed the 100-yard mark as he had 122 yards on 21 carries. In the regular-season finale at Saskatchewan, Mills carried the ball 20 times for 128 yards including a career-best 61-yard run.

 

2023

(Calgary) Mills was the Stampeders’ leading rusher as he racked up 802 yards and four touchdowns on the ground in 14 games including nine starts. He had a pair of 100-yard performances – 102 yards in a Week 2 win at Ottawa and a season-high 137 yards in a Week 9 victory against Toronto. Mills narrowly missed out on a third 100-yard game as he ran for 97 yards in Week 5 at Winnipeg. For the season, he also contributed 21 catches for 123 yards and three kickoff returns for 55 yards.

 

2022

(Calgary) Mills appeared in six regular-season games and made four starts at tailback. He had three 100-yard games – in Week 9 against Ottawa and in Weeks 20 and 21 in consecutive games against Saskatchewan. He earned CFL top-performer-of-the-week honours for both games against the Roughriders as he scored his initial CFL touchdown in the first game and accumulated a season-high 125 rushing yards in the second contest. Overall, he carried the ball 67 times for 459 yards (an average of 6.9 yards per carry) and two touchdowns. Mills added 13 catches for 105 yards. He was in uniform for the Western Semi-Final against BC and had two carries for 16 yards.

College

Mills played 18 games over two seasons (2019-20) at Nebraska. He recorded 227 carries for 1,141 yards and 13 touchdowns in addition to 27 receptions for 208 yards. Mills was an honourable mention all-Big Ten in 2019. Prior to joining the Cornhuskers, he spent 2016-17 at Garden City (Kansas) Community College, rushing 243 times for 1,417 yards and 19 touchdowns in 13 games. In 2018, Mills led the National Junior College Athletic Association with 19 rushing touchdowns as the Broncbusters reached a No. 2 national ranking. As a freshman, he played nine games at Georgia Tech, tallying 152 attempts for 771 yards and 12 touchdowns. Mills added two catches for 13 yards and one touchdown for the Yellow Jackets and was named the MVP of the 2017 Gator Bowl.

 

Personal

Mills attended Ware County High School in Georgia. He started every game in his career with the Gators, running for 1,211 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior. Mills was also an all-state linebacker that year, making 96 tackles including 11 tackles for loss. He majored in child, youth and family studies at Nebraska.
