Dwayne Cameron

Cameron is in his sixth season with the Stampeders and his first with the title of director of Canadian scouting and U.S. scout. He previously served five years as Calgary’s defensive backs coach and CFL draft coordinator.
Prior to joining the Stamps’ coaching staff, Cameron served as a regional scout for the club.
Cameron had two stints at Wilfrid Laurier University, serving as the Golden Hawks’ defensive backs coach and strength and conditioning coordinator from 2004-09 and as defensive backs coach, special-teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator from 2013-19. He was part of Wilfrid Laurier’s Ontario conference championship teams in 2004, 2005 and 2016 and the Golden Hawks’ Vanier Cup championship team in 2005.
In between his stints at Laurier, Cameron served as a defensive and special teams assistant on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats coaching staff in 2010 and 2011. On three occasions, he was head coach for Team Ontario at the International Bowl in Arlington, Tex.
During his playing career, the Guelph, Ont., native played safety at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
Cameron and his wife Lisa have three children – sons Greg and Darian and daughter Kiana.
