The Calgary Stampeders and Stampeders Foundation are launching a new-look 50/50 program presented by RE/MAX for the upcoming 2021 season.
In addition to continuing in-person sales at McMahon Stadium, fans will now be able to purchase tickets online at www.stampeders.com/50-50 between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. MDT on all Stampeders game days – both home and away.
The first opportunity to purchase 50/50 tickets will be on Saturday, Aug. 7 when the Stampeders host the Toronto Argonauts. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. MDT.
Members of the Calgary Bantam Football Association will be selling 50/50 tickets throughout the concourse and at designated stations outside sections B, K, N and W. Fans at McMahon will also have the option of scanning a QR code located at their seat or throughout the stadium. Cash payments will not be accepted.
Participants must be over 18 years of age and located in Alberta at the time of purchase (AGLC license number 574892). Options will include one ticket for $5, 10 tickets for $10, 60 tickets for $20 or 200 tickets for $50. There is no limit to the number of 50/50 tickets an individual may purchase.
Those participating at McMahon and online will all be entered into the same jackpot, with the winning fan taking home 50 per cent of the total 50/50 ticket sales. The remaining 50 per cent generated will be directed to the Stampeders Foundation.
The winning number will be posted online at www.stampeders.com/50-50 every game day by 11 p.m. MDT, within one hour of the conclusion of the draw. The winner will be required to provide a photo of the winning ticket along with a piece of photo ID.
All funds raised by the Stampeders Foundation will benefit amateur and grassroots football in Calgary and southern Alberta communities, while also supporting a number of health and education initiatives through player involvement and in-game programming. Since 2012, the Stampeders Foundation has generated more than $3.5 million to support these initiatives, and has provided funds for grassroots and amateur football organizations and charities such as KidSport Calgary & Areas and the Canadian Cancer Society.
