Stamps training camp continued at McMahon Stadium on Saturday with two more practices.
One week in the books
Saturday marked the end of the first full week of main camp.
“After that first day, which was a two-a-day, you’re tired,” said linebacker Maleki Harris. “Your body’s tired, your mind’s tired. But you gradually come along. You get used to the pounding, your body starts to recover and the coaches lighten up on the practices. You start to feel better and the playbook gets a little easier because everything is slowing down.”
What’s the secret to surviving the grind?
“Cold tub, you’ve got to stretch, you’ve got to roll out,” said Harris. “You’ve got to do extra stretching and extra rolling out. And also, personally, I like pickles. They help with cramping and I just like them.”
Quotable
Head coach Dave Dickenson: “I felt I needed to shorten the morning practice. We’re only three days away from a game and we’re still doing a double (practice) today. We would (normally) never do that but I need to at least keep the learning up.”
Tomorrow’s schedule
It’s another round of two-a-days on Sunday at McMahon. Practice runs from 9:05 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in the morning and from 4:20 p.m. to 6:05 p.m. in the afternoon. ENG cameras will be permitted to shoot from approximately 9:05 to 9:25 a.m. during the morning session and 4:20 to 4:40 p.m. during the afternoon.
