The Calgary Stampeders have acquired international receiver/kick returner Skye Dawson from the Edmonton Eskimos in return for a conditional exchange of 2017 draft picks.

In seven NFL games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013, Dawson had three kickoff returns for 67 yards, one punt return for 17 yards, two receptions for 12 yards and two carries for 15 yards.
Dawson played four seasons (2009-12) at Texas Christian University and served as both a receiver and a returner for the Horned Frogs. In 49 games, he had 91 catches for 1,125 yards and six touchdowns, 33 carries for 204 yards, 27 kickoff returns for 644 yards and 30 punt returns for 224 yards. He was an all-Big 12 honourable mention as a returner in 2012.
In another transaction, the Stamps have added international offensive lineman Derek Dennis to the practice roster.
Dennis signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and he has also spent time with the New England Patriots, Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers.
He played four seasons at Temple University including his senior campaign in 2011 when he made 13 starts at left guard. Dennis played in the 2012 East-West Shrine Game.
