Back 2 School Drive is back

By Stampeders.com Staff

The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce the return of the Back 2 School Drive to help local students in need.

The program is an initiative created in 2014 by Bianca Raymond, wife of veteran Stampeders defensive back Keon Raymond.

Fans can bring backpacks filled with school supplies — including paper, pencils and crayons — to Friday’s game against the BC Lions. Volunteers will be located in the east parking lot at McMahon Stadium near the Crowchild Trail pedestrian overpass as well as the southeast and northwest gates.

Fans can also drop items off any day this week at the Stamps Ticket Office at the southeast corner of McMahon Stadium. The Ticket Office is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. this Wednesday and Thursday. Fans making a contribution will be entered into a draw for a signed Keon Raymond jersey.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary and the Calgary Women’s Shelter will help distribute the items collected to students in need.
