Purolator Tackle Hunger Food Drive

The annual Purolator Tackle Hunger Food Drive visits McMahon Stadium on Saturday in support of the Calgary Food Bank.

Fans are encouraged bring non-perishable food items or cash donations to Purolator volunteers stationed at the stadium gates prior to the game. In return, Stampeder supporters will have the opportunity to receive a digital photo with the Grey Cup and enter to win an autographed Jon Cornish jersey. There is also a Twitter contest which will give fans the chance to win tickets to an upcoming Stampeders home game by using the hashtag #TackleHunger.

At last season’s event, the generosity of Stamps fans resulted in a record total of 258,000 pounds of food being collected for the Calgary Food Bank. Fans of the Red and White have set a league-wide record for the Purolator Tackle Hunger Food Drive in each of the past four seasons.
