It’s a battle of division co-leaders at McMahon Stadium on Saturday as the Stampeders take on the Ottawa RedBlacks. Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
Calgary has a 4-2 record and shares top spot in the West Division with the Edmonton Eskimos while the RedBlacks, also 4-2, are tied with Toronto and Hamilton for first place in the East.
The Stamps were 25-22 winners on home turf in their most recent outing, a Week 6 contest against the Montreal Alouettes. Calgary had a bye in Week 7.
The RedBlacks have won two straight including a 29-26 overtime victory over the Stamps in Week 5 at Ottawa’s TD Place Stadium.
The RedBlacks have made one previous visit to McMahon, an Aug. 9, 2014, contest win 38-17 by the Stamps as Bo Levi Mitchell threw for three touchdowns and scored another on the ground.
The Stamps have won all four of their home games this season and have prevailed in nine of their 10 most recent regular-season dates at McMahon.
Ottawa has already doubled its win total from last season including one win on the road after going 0-9 in enemy stadiums in 2014.
Saturday’s contest is the annual Purolator Tackle Hunger game to benefit the Calgary Food Bank. Fans can drop off non-perishable food items or make cash donations as they enter the stadium.
Stamps fans have set a new Tackle Hunger record four years in a row.
