The Stampeders are looking for their first road victory of the season as they travel to the Nation’s Capital to face the Ottawa RedBlacks on Friday. Kickoff at TD Place Stadium is 5 p.m. MDT.
Calgary is 3-1 so far this season with all three victories coming at McMahon Stadium including a 26-25 victory against Winnipeg on Saturday. The Stamps’ previous road outing this season was a 29-11 setback in Montreal during Week 2.
The RedBlacks are 2-2 after winning their first two contests of the season and then dropping back-to-back games against the Edmonton Eskimos including a 23-12 setback in Ottawa on Friday.
Calgary won both games against Ottawa in 2014, the RedBlacks’ inaugural season. The Stamps won 38-17 in Calgary on Aug. 9 and 32-7 two weeks later in Ottawa.
The RedBlacks are stocked with many Stamps alums including head coach Rick Campbell, special-teams coordinator Don Yanowsky, running backs coach Jordan Maksymic and players Henry Burris, Jon Gott, Brad Sinopoli, J’Michael Deane, Maurice Price, Jock Sanders, Malik Jackson, Justin Phillips and Brandon McDonald.
