The Stampeders travel to Montreal on Friday to face the Alouettes in a Week 2 matchup. Kickoff at Percival Molson Stadium is 5:30 p.m. MDT (News Talk 770, TSN).
Calgary is 1-0 after recording a 24-23 comeback victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium in Week 1. The Alouettes dropped their season-opener 20-16 at home to the Ottawa RedBlacks.
Montreal was the site of the Stamps’ only road loss in 2014 as the Red and White fell 31-15 to the Larks in a Week 13 contest. Calgary is 12-2 on the road since Week 7 of the 2013 season.
The Stamps have a 3-4 record in Montreal and a 9-5 overall mark against the Alouettes since John Hufnagel became Calgary’s head coach and general manager in 2008.
Friday’s contest marks the Stamps’ first game against Nik Lewis, who spent 11 seasons (2004-2014) in Calgary and won a pair of Grey Cups before signing a free-agent deal with Montreal during the off-season.
Lewis is among the Calgary franchise’s all-time leaders in most significant receiving categories and he led Montreal with four catches for 46 yards last week.
The Stamps’ top receiver in Week 1 was Jeff Fuller, who had nine grabs for 148 yards. He was the only CFLer to exceed 100 receiving yards in the first week of play.
