Pre-game ceremony

Just before kicking off the 2015 season, there will be one last nod to 2014 and the Year of the Horse. Representatives from each of the Stamps’ previous Grey Cup championship teams – 1948, 1971, 1992, 1998, 2001 and 2008 – will be introduced before a brief ceremony to commemorate the 2014 title.

Wayne Harris Tribute

Prior to kickoff, a video tribute to the Hall-of-Fame linebacker — who passed away on June 4 at the age of 77 — will be played on the Stampstron. The players’ helmets will feature memorial stickers bearing Harris’ nickname and number — Thumper 55 — and special 55-yard line marking will be painted at midfield of the McMahon Stadium turf in memory of Harris.

50/50

Don’t forget to buy your 50/50 tickets at the game! Due to an unclaimed 50/50 prize from the Stamps’ Oct. 24, 2014, home game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders — the potential winner had 30 days to claim the prize — the amount carries over to the regular-season opener and total pot for the 50/50 on June 26 will begin at $101,670. That amount will grow with every ticket sold. Look for the sellers in the bright yellow aprons throughout McMahon Stadium from the time gates open until the end of halftime. Please note: Get your tickets early as no tickets will be sold once halftime ends!
