In addition to enjoying a rematch of the 2014 Grey Cup, fans attending the Stampeders’ June 26 season-opener against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium will have an opportunity to take home a bundle of cash.

Due to an unclaimed 50/50 prize from the Stamps’ Oct. 24, 2014, home game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders — the potential winner had 30 days to claim the prize — the amount carries over to the regular-season opener and total pot for the 50/50 on June 26 will begin at $101,670. That amount will grow with every ticket sold.

Tickets can be purchased throughout McMahon Stadium from the moment the gates open to the conclusion of halftime with 50 per cent of the funds going to amateur football through the Stampeders Foundation.

“With a new Stampeders season getting under way and a big jackpot up for grabs, it’s a win-win situation for everyone,” said Stampeders president Gordon Norrie. “I look forward to seeing a fortunate individual claim this tremendous prize on June 26. Best of all, in addition to the lucky 50/50 ticket holder, amateur football will be a big winner through the Stampeders Foundation.”
