The Calgary Stampeders have signed international linebacker Brandon Harper.
Harper played four seasons at Widener University in Chester, Pa., and was named the Middle Atlantic Conference’s defensive player of the year during his senior season after recording 85 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks in 13 games for the Pride.
For his career, he had 203 tackles, including 20 tackles for loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles and two interceptions.
In another transaction, the Stampeders have released international defensive lineman Anthony Woodard.
