Getting to know Adam Thibault

David Moll

By Stampeders.com Staff

Adam Thibault was drafted by the Stampeders in the third round of the 2014 CFL Canadian Draft.

He played his first CFL game on August 9 against the Ottawa RedBlacks at McMahon Stadium. He recorded his special teams tackle on the opening kickoff of that game.

The Quebec native played a total of eight regular-season games, plus the Western Final and Grey Cup in his rookie season.

He spent three seasons playing receiver for Laval before switching to defensive back for the 2013 season. He played in the Vanier Cup all four seasons, winning three times.

We asked Adam to finish the following sentences with the first thing that came to his mind to get to know him a little better.

My first CFL game was… memorable. I will always remember that game because I waited nine games to be on the active roster so it was memorable.

I will never… there’s no such thing as never for me honestly. I’m down to try whatever.

I always wanted to… run a successful business.

I own a lot of… clothes.

The last thing I lost… everything. I just lose everything every day. But a good thing is there is always a way I can find it back.

Training camp… is coming up and I’m really anxious to do that. I’m ready to go already.

The last dream I had was… me playing a game at Laval University. I don’t know why, but I had that dream a couple times in the previous month. I had a couple dreams of going back with my friends and playing at Laval University.

Playing football at Laval was… a great way to be prepared for the professional football level.

The Grey Cup… is something I always wanted to achieve and win and being able to have it the first year is so good. But it won’t stop there; when you have one you always want another one.

The last movie I saw was… yesterday night actually with my girlfriend. It was Ouija. A scary movie.
