The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce that $400,000 will be contributed to amateur and minor football programs in Calgary including the Calgary Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League, the Calgary Bantam Football Association, the University of Calgary Dinos and the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association.

The Colts and Bantams each received money through the 2014 Stampeders Foundation 50/50 program, which takes place at each home game. The Stampeders Foundation 50/50 program presented by RE/MAX experienced the most successful year to date, with the average pot growing by nearly 50 per cent in the past two seasons.

The Colts and Dinos each received a donation through the Stampeders’ season ticket program.

Additionally, the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association received 100 per cent of the profit from this year’s Stampeders Foundation Charity Golf Tournament that was held on Aug. 25.

“We are proud to support the growth and sustainability of high school athletics and amateur football throughout Calgary and Southern Alberta,” says Stampeders president Gordon Norrie. “We thank the fans and businesses who contribute through our 50/50 draw and other initiatives.”

The Stampeders Foundation’s mission is to improve the lives of Calgary and southern Alberta residents through grassroots/minor football, education programs as well as health and wellness projects.
