The 2014 recpients are Peter Zajdel from Henry Wisewood, Antwan Smith from Crescent Heights and Kiyan Davachi from Winston Churchill. The awards are presented annually to high school senior football players throughout the city of Calgary. The Stan Schwartz Heart of a Champion Awards recognize players who have made significant contributions on and off the field to their team, school and community and have shown perseverance.
Calgary Harley-Davidson Tricycle Race Finals
The winners of the quarter-finals will compete in the semi-finals, followed by those winners competing in the FINAL challenge for the ultimate prize — a 2014 Dyna Street Bob! Runners-up will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Harley-Davidson of Calgary store.
Dodge Fan Zone Family Day Pre-Game Party
The Dodge Fan Zone will be open at noon on Saturday. The Fan Zone is located across from the Ticket Office and Stamps Store on the east side of McMahon. The Dodge Fan Zone features YYC food trucks, partner games and giveaways and plenty of seating.
Salvation Army Coat Drive, supported by Q107
Donate a coat! The Calgary Stampeders ask fans to remember the less-fortunate members of the community who don’t have suitable winter wear as the club launches its 12th annual Share the Warmth coat drive in support of The Salvation Army. We’ll be collecting new or gently used coats in the Dodge Fan Zone and at the main gates upon entrance.
