The Calgary Stampeders have added veteran national receiver Chris Bauman to the practice roster.
This is the second stint with the Stamps for the six-foot-four, 212-lb. Brandon, Man., native. Bauman spent two seasons with Calgary (2012-13) after playing four seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and one with the Edmonton Eskimos.
Bauman played eight games for the Stamps in 2012, making 16 catches for 212 yards and one touchdown. He also dressed for two playoff games. He missed the entire 2013 campaign with wrist and knee injuries.
Over six CFL seasons, Bauman has played 78 games and made 141 catches for 1,855 yards and seven touchdowns.
In another transaction, the Stampeders have released international defensive lineman Quinton Spears from the practice roster.
