The Calgary Stampeders have added international defensive lineman Caesar Rayford to the practice roster.
Rayford played seven games for the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys in 2013, recording a total of five tackles. He also attended training camp with the Indianapolis Colts in 2012 and spent three seasons (2010-12) with the Utah Blaze of the Arena Football League. With Utah, Rayford totalled 68 tackles, 22.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and two interception-return touchdowns.
This is Rayford’s second stint in the CFL as he was a member of the BC Lions’ practice roster in 2008.
Rayford spent four seasons for the University of Washington (2004-07) and played a total of 35 games for the Huskies. He recorded a total of 13 tackles, including 5.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks. Rayford also had a forced fumble and a blocked kick.
