Lewis: “Do you want to be great?”

David Moll

We need to continue to build on what we’re doing. I talked to the team before the game tonight about greatness.

I said “do you want to be great?” and they said “Yes.” Everyone knows that with greatness, you have to have adversity to be able to be great you have to be able to overcome adversity because that’s what propels you to be great.

That what propels you mentally and physically to places you’ve never been. You can’t just go out there and run, run and run. Running routes, catching balls on nobody.

You need a defender right there to be your adversity. You need a team out there that’s giving you problems.

This was like being down 24 points to Montreal last year, so I knew we could do it.

Saturday night, I was playing a different position than I am normally used to. It’s a little different to play in the boundary. I haven’t been there since 2006.

The angle is a little different, just to get the feel back of playing there, in that space and being able to run routes and do things. I’m feeling more comfortable.

The only thing I hate about the boundary is it’s too close to the sidelines. I’m breaking tackles, but I’m going out of bounds.

In my normal spot to the field, I break a tackle, I rumble a little more, I stumble a little more; picking up those extra yards.

It sucks to see Bo go down. I think the bigger issue is the fact that he’s 24 years old. He’s got a long career ahead of him and he’s been playing so well.

He’s been doing so well, you just want to see him succeed. You go out there and put everything out there so Bo can succeed.

I don’t even know what the injury is right now but I hope it’s not too bad because I still want to see Bo succeed.

Because he’s done such a great job, stepping up as one of the guys in this locker room to lead and go out and makes plays and do things. I just hope that he’s alright.

Now we have to prepare for the next game and make sure we come out strong right from the start.
