It’s the much-anticipated Labour Day Classic as the 7-1 Stampeders host the 7-1 Eskimos in a battle for first place.

The Stamps will be wearing their new head-to-toe CFL Signature Look uniforms which features sleek new helmets, jerseys, pants and socks.

National Anthem: Canadian Armed Forces Band from HMCS Tecumseh and the Kings Own Calgary Regiment will perform the national anthem along with Canadian Armed Forces vocalist Sergeant Bremault Bamford. As a part of the national anthem ceremony, 40 members of the Canadian Armed Forces will unfurl a 30-by-60-foot Canadian flag on the field.

Dodge Fan Zone

The Dodge Fan Zone will be open at noon on Monday. The Fan Zone is located across from the Ticket Office and Stamps Store on the east side of McMahon. The Dodge Fan Zone features plenty of seating and includes numerous family-friendly activities: 

  • Autographs from Stamps and Dinos players
  • Food trucks
  • Partner games and giveaways from Dodge, First Calgary Financial, Buffalo Wild Wings and Fabutan and Mark’s
  • Chance to enter Dodge’s #KingOfTheField contest to win a Ram 1500 truck
  • Face painting and balloon animals

Fans will be able to see the new Stampeders “Outlaw” Signature Uniform on display at the Reebok tent. The new jerseys are on sale at the Stamps Store and concourse kiosks throughout the game.

The 2015 Outriders calendar has been released and will be available for sale at the game.

Back 2 School Drive

Bianca Raymond, wife of Stampeders defensive back Keon Raymond, and other volunteers will be stationed outside the east side of the stadium prior to the game to collect new backpacks and other school supplies for the Back 2 School Drive to support students in need. All goods collected will be distributed by The Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary and the Calgary Emergency Women’s Shelter.

Salute to Canadian Armed Forces

The Stampeders salute Canadian Armed Forces as they welcome more than 300 guests including Armed Forces members, family members and veterans and honour them for their service with the Canadian military. Major General Michael Hood will be a special guest.

Watch for the CF-18 fighter aircraft flyover after the National Anthem!

Commemorative Stampeders military caps will be available for purchase, with all proceeds to be directed to Support Our Troops. 

Yellow ribbons in support of military personnel will adorn the end-zones and special “Support Our Troops” merchandise will be on sale at various tables on the concourse. A portion of the proceeds from the game’s 50/50 draw will also go to Support Our Troops.

Following the conclusion of the game, uniformed military personnel will be welcomed onto the field where they will receive the opportunity to have a post-game group photo with Stampeders players.

Kids Cancer Care

The Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta is the Stampeders’ official community partner for the Labour Day Classic as the organization helps kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September. Kids Cancer Care members will take part in the coin toss and ceremonial opening kickoff. 

Stampeders Kids Club

The Stampeders have once again teamed up with New York Fries to present the Kids Club. Stop by the tent in the North concourse behind sections J and K to learn more about the program and to register. Memberships are just $30 for the entire season and include, among other things, an official membership card and lanyard, a 30-per cent discount voucher for the Stamps Store (one-time use) and a Kids Club starter pack that includes a Stamps drawstring backpack, eyeblacks, an autograph pen, a New York Fries key ring (valid for 15-per cent off at New York Fires and South St. Burger locations), a mini-football and a BIGTIME t-shirt. Don’t forget to buy your 50/50 tickets at the game! Look for the sellers in the bright yellow aprons throughout McMahon Stadium from the time gates open until the end of halftime.
