Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell has had a better start to his career than most anyone could ever expect.

Mitchell has been near perfect, posting a 9-1 record as a starter in the Canadian Football League.

In earning that number, Mitchell find himself in exclusive company as he joins Hall-of-Famer Jackie Parker (who started 9-1 over the 1954 and 1955 seasons as a member of the Edmonton Eskimos), Winnipeg’s Jim Van Pelt (1958-59) and Toronto’s Joe Theismann (1971) as the only CFL quarterbacks to post a 9-1 record in their first 10 games as a starter. Parker, Van Pelt and Thiesmann all made it to the 11-1 mark before suffering their second loss.

Mitchell is looking for his 10th career win on Sunday as he and the Stamps travel to Ottawa to face the RedBlacks. The third-year pivot from Eastern Washington University sports a perfect 5-0 mark on the road during his career.

Mitchell is the current owner of a four-game passing touchdown streak, having found Jeff Fuller three times, Marquay McDaniel twice and Jabari Arthur once for scores through the air in that span.
