The Calgary Stampeders have added international defensive lineman Corvey Irvin to the practice roster.
Irvin was selected in the third round of the 2009 National Football League draft by the Carolina Panthers and he has 24 games of NFL experience with the Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys. He recorded a total of 14 tackles including nine solo stops.
In college, Irvin was a defensive captain with the University of Georgia Bulldogs in 2008. In two seasons at Georgia, he recorded 48 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks in 26 games.
