Arthur: An emotional roller-coaster

It feels absolutely great to get my first touchdown of the season.

It’s been an emotional roller-coaster for me this year. When we started camp, I got hurt and got put on the six-game injury list. I had an opportunity to come up last game but it didn’t quite go the way I wanted. I got my opportunities again this week and I’m just so thankful. Bo threw a great ball and gave me the opportunity to catch it for the score.

Honestly speaking, even though it went under review, I knew I caught that ball. I felt very, very confident about it. I guess the referees thought it was close, but I knew my hands were under it. I just can’t drop touchdowns. I was glad for the chance to contribute.

My attitude from the first game of my rookie season hasn’t changed. I just want to do what I can to help my team win and this was a great start. I’ve just got to stay healthy for the rest of the season and continue to help the team win.

I make the most of all opportunities that I get, so I’m just going to continue to work hard, train, get stronger, work on conditioning, get deeper into the playbooks, get on the same page as the rest of the offence and keep the party going.

Every professional will tell you every game that there’s always room for improvement. I agree definitely. There were a few plays I wish I could have done better but I’m satisfied any time we walk away with a victory.

I can’t wait to get at it again next week when we take on Hamilton.
