The Calgary Stampeders have added international defensive back Brandon McDonald to the practice roster.
McDonald is a veteran of 80 National Football League games over six seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was drafted in the fifth round (140th overall) by Cleveland in 2007 and during his NFL career he recorded 216 tackles, nine interceptions, two forced fumbles and one sack. In 2008 with the Browns, he returned a pick 98 yards for a touchdown.
McDonald played two seasons at Memphis (2005-06) and recorded 133 total tackles and seven interceptions. He was named second-team all-Conference USA in 2006 after leading the Tigers with 84 tackles and recording four interceptions.
In another roster move, the Stamps have released international defensive back Torin Harris from the practice roster.
