Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce the signing of import defensive back Jeff Richards. As per team policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
Richards played at Emporia State in 2012 and in 12 games, including 11 starts, he recorded 54 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and three interceptions. He also blocked three kicks and returned 15 kickoffs for 332 yards (for a 22.1-yard average) and one punt for five yards. In 2011, he had 30 tackles and two interceptions for the Hornets.
