The Calgary Stampeders are slated to make their first selection at seventh overall as the Canadian Football League holds its draft on Tuesday starting at 5 p.m. MDT.
Calgary goes into the draft with eight selections including the seventh and 14th overall picks as well as three choices — 19th, 24th and 25th overall — in the third round. The Stamps also have one fourth-round pick (33rd overall), one fifth-round pick (40th) and one seventh-round pick (61st).
The Stampeders’ current roster features 25 players who were chosen in the CFL draft including 19 Calgary selections.
TSN will be televising the first round of the draft on its main network while subsequent rounds will be streamed on TSN.ca

This is the second consecutive season the Stampeders have held the seventh overall pick. A year ago, they selected offensive lineman Brander Craighead, an underclassman from the University of Texas-El Paso.

Sweet 16
The Stamps are also slated to draft 16th for a second straight season. In 2013, they selected eventual CFL rookie of the year Brett Jones with the 16th overall selection.
Tristan Black (2009), Fernand Kashama (2008), Pascal Masson (2004), Cameron Legault (1999) and Harland Ah You (1998) are the other players chosen by the Stamps with the 16th overall selection in the past quarter-century.
Drafting great late
