The Calgary Stampeders have completed a trade with the Montreal Alouettes, acquiring a fifth-round pick (40th overall) in the 2014 CFL Draft in exchange for import kick returner Larry Taylor and a 2014 fifth-round pick (43rd overall). The deal also includes conditional 2015 draft picks.
Taylor, who signed with the Stampeders in 2011, returns to the team with which he broke into the CFL as he was with the Alouettes from 2008-10. In 44 regular-season games with Calgary over the past three seasons, Taylor accumulated 3,055 kickoff-return yards, 1,637 punt-return yards and 659 missed-field goal-return yards. He added 39 catches for 321 yards and four touchdowns and 18 carries for 93 yards.
“We appreciate everything that Larry has done for us over the past three seasons and wish him the best in Montreal,” said Stampeders general manager John Hufnagel.
