The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce their schedule for the 2014 Canadian Football League season.

The 18-game regular season gets under way with the home-opener at McMahon Stadium on Saturday, June 28, when the Montreal Alouettes come calling.

The BC Lions make two regular-season visits to McMahon while the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Edmonton Eskimos, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Toronto Argonauts, Alouettes as well as the expansion Ottawa Redblacks each come to town once.

Calgary’s home dates during the regular season include three Fridays and five Saturdays as well as the traditional Labour Day Monday matchup. There are four afternoon contests on the slate at McMahon including three games that kick off at 2:30 p.m. or earlier.

“We have listened to our fans and are confident that this schedule will largely meet with their approval,” said Stampeders president Gordon Norrie. “In particular, fans asked us for more afternoon games and we are pleased to offer them just that in 2014, including the great tradition that is the Labour Day Classic. We look forward to seeing everyone at McMahon Stadium for what I know will be another great season.”
