For the 10th time, the Calgary Stampeders are facing the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the West Division final.

The longtime rivals are meeting on Sunday at McMahon Stadium with a berth in the 101st Grey Cup on the line. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the Stamps ticket office at McMahon Stadium or by clicking here.

Calgary (14-4) earned a first-round bye and the right to host the Western Final by finishing first in the West Division this season. Saskatchewan (11-7) finished second and advanced to the final with a 29-25 victory over the BC Lions in Sunday’s Western Semifinal in Regina.

“We’re very excited about playing this Western final and playing against Saskatchewan, a very good football team,” said Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel. “Sixty minutes later, let’s see who is the best team.

“I know that it will be an exciting stadium on Sunday. It will be capacity or close to capacity because we’re playing Saskatchewan and it will be a great day in the city of Calgary.”

The Stampeders and Roughriders met three times during the regular season, with Calgary winning both contests at McMahon Stadium — 42-27 on Aug. 9 and a 29-25 victory on Oct. 26 to clinch first place in the West Division. Saskatchewan won a 36-21 decision in Regina on July 5.

Calgary and Saskatchewan first met in the division final in 1948 as the Stamps won a two-game, total-point series 21-10 en route to their first Grey Cup title. The most recent meeting came in 2010 when the Roughriders won 20-16 at McMahon Stadium.

The majority of the West final meetings between the clubs came from 1967 to 1971 when Calgary and Saskatchewan squared off a remarkable five years in a row. Calgary won three of those five matchups and leads the overall West final series against Saskatchewan 5-4.
