With their victory over the Edmonton Eskimos at Commonwealth Stadium on Friday night, the Calgary Stampeders have clinched a home playoff game at McMahon Stadium. Depending on the results during the remainder of the regular season, the Stampeders will host either the West Division semifinal on Nov. 10 or the West final on Nov. 17.
Friday’s result ensured the Stamps will finish ahead of the BC Lions and no lower than second place in the West Division. The Stamps would clinch first place in the West with one more win or one more loss by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
This is the fifth time in head coach/general manager John Hufnagel’s six years in Calgary that the Stampeders will have a home playoff game.
