The Calgary Stampeders have added import defensive lineman Earl Okine to the practice roster.
Okine signed with the National Football League’s Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2013, and he was released on Aug. 26, 2013. He signed with the Arena Football League’s Los Angeles Kiss on Sept. 30, 2013.
Prior to turning pro, Okine, played 42 games over four seasons (2009-12) for the University of Florida Gators. He recorded a total of 27 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one blocked field goal. In his senior season, he recorded 12 tackles and a blocked field goal.
In another transaction, the Stampeders have released import defensive lineman Martin Parker from the practice roster.
