Tonight, I just wanted to come in and make an impact early. From the opening kickoff return, I just wanted to start off fast and I accomplished my goal tonight.
I was definitely nervous, this being my first game in the CFL. But I started to feel comfortable after that first touch and big return.
Once I started getting a few big returns, all I kept thinking in my mind was “I’m back.”
I have to give credit to all of my teammates tonight. They did a great job blocking for me — they made my job easy.
My first CFL touchdown felt amazing. It was the first time I’ve touched the end-zone in a few years, so it felt great. I got a nice memento out of it to. The ball is going to be going right on the wall at the house.
Being out here for a month has really allowed me to get comfortable with the Canadian game.
I’m grateful to my teammates who have helped me out in a big way.
I’ve learned a lot from Larry Taylor and from Jon Cornish. They’re showing me the ropes, they’re great teachers.
I couldn’t have come to a better team, to tell you the truth. I came to a great team at a good time when we’re playing at a high level and I have a chance to contribute.
From here on out, I am looking forward to going into this playoff run. I’m looking forward to be playing on Nov. 24 in Regina.
