The Calgary Stampeders announce that import receiver Jeff Fuller and import running back Clifton Smith have been added to the club’s practice roster.
Fuller was Texas A&M’s all-time leader in catches (233), receiving yards (3,092) and touchdowns receptions (34) when he finished his collegiate career in 2011. He signed with the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins and spent the 2012 season on the team’s practice roster.
His father Jeff Fuller Sr. was also a Texas A&M standout and went on to play for the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers.
Smith has 24 games of NFL experience with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns and was named to the 2009 Pro Bowl. He played his college football at Fresno State and in his senior season led the Bulldogs with 1,367 all-purpose yards including 625 rushing, 352 receiving, 317 on punt returns and 73 on kickoff returns.
