The Calgary Stampeders announce that import linebacker Glenn Love and import receivers Kenny Stafford and Alric Arnett have been added to the club’s practice roster.
Love has CFL experience with the BC Lions, playing one regular-season game in 2012 and attending training camp with BC in 2013. He played four seasons with the UCLA Bruins and recorded 105 total tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks.
Stafford attended training camp with the Montreal Alouettes earlier this year and then joined the Miami Dolphins. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons in 2012. Stafford played four seasons at Toledo (2008-11) and saw action in 47 games. For his career with the Rockets, he had 59 catches for 906 yards and eight touchdowns.
Arnett has spent time with Denver, Indianapolis and Detroit in the National Football League and with Pittsburgh of the Arena Football League. Prior to turning pro, he spent two seasons at West Virginia (2008-09). As a senior, he was second on the Mountaineers with 43 catches, which was good for 586 yards and three touchdowns. In 2008, Arnett led the team with 466 receiving yards as he made 35 receptions and scored six touchdowns. Prior to attending West Virginia, he played two seasons at Scottsdale Community College, earning National Junior College Athletic Association all-star honours in 2006.
