The Roughriders (5-0) are the CFL’s last remaining unbeaten team while the Stamps (4-1) are hot on their heels in the West Division. Saskatchewan (183 points) and Calgary (162) boast the league’s most potent offences this season.

Both teams remained hot in Week 5 despite injuries to veteran quarterbacks. With Drew Tate and Kevin Glenn both sidelined, the Stamps were led to a 37-24 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers by 23-year-old sophomore Bo Levi Mitchell. It was Calgary’s third consecutive win.

Meanwhile, Drew Willy stepped in for Darian Durant and helped the Roughriders defeat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 32-20.

Both teams have Week 6 byes.

The longtime rivals met in Week 2 in Regina, with Calgary holding the advantage in the first half before Saskatchewan rallied for a 36-21 win.

Friday also marks the Stampeders’ Purolator Tackle Hunger game in benefit of the Calgary Food Bank. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of Stamps fans, a record total of 131,500 pounds of food was collected a year ago.

Fans can make a donation of non-perishable food items or cash at any entrance gate at McMahon Stadium on game day. You can also drop off your donation prior to game day at the Stamps ticket office located at the southeast corner of the stadium.
