I played up to the expectations that I thought I was going to play up to tonight. To get three sacks in the first game is the ultimate high.
I’ve gotten three sacks before in the past, but that was a long time ago. I think it was 2009. To restart that and bring it back to life is a great feeling.
We had a lot of different players on the field and you wonder if your going to have the same chemistry as we did before. We came out, we had the same chemistry, the new players added a lot and I think we established ourselves as a defence tonight.
I know there are a lot of fans out there who lost their houses and possessions. Regardless, they came out to the game tonight and hopefully it took them away from all the stresses and drama that’s out there right.
I think winning it for the City of Calgary showed great patriotism. We won tonight’s game for the fans.
