The Calgary Stampeders announce that import defensive lineman Kevin Huntley has been added to the club’s practice roster.
Huntley, 31, is a veteran of four CFL seasons, all with the Toronto Argonauts. He led the Argos in sacks in three consecutive seasons (2009-11) and earned East Division all-star honours in 2011. Huntley has played 64 career CFL games and amassed 123 tackles, including 12 tackles for loss, 26 sacks, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and seven pass knockdowns. He was a member of the Argos’ Grey Cup-championship team in 2012.
Prior to coming to the CFL, he spent time with Oakland, Atlanta, Washington and Pittsburgh in the National Football League. He played six games for Oakland in 2006, collecting 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks, and five games for Atlanta in 2007.
The Stampeders also announce that import defensive lineman Luis Vasquez has been released from the practice roster.
