Stamps sign non-import d-lineman

Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that non-import defensive lineman Andrew Marshall has signed with the team. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Marshall was a second-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-star as a senior for Simon Fraser University in 2012. He led the Clan with nine  sacks and 11 tackles for loss and was second on the team in total tackles with 51. Marshall added one forced fumble and one blocked kick.

In 2011, he had 46 tackles, including seven tackles for loss, four sacks and one forced fumble in 10 games. In 2010, Marshall led the Clan with 76 tackles, including nine tackles for loss. He also had 1.5 sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery.

In another transaction, the Stampeders placed non-import receiver Dalin Tollestrup on the retired list.
