What’s up, Stamps fans?
I want to start by thanking all of you braved the snow and cold last week and supported us through the game. It was great to see so many of you stay right until the end — your support really made a world of difference.
This week, we take on BC at home and it’s Fan Appreciation Night. I hope to see as many of you out there as possible. Lets pack our house, show the Lions how great Stampeders fans are and send them back to BC with a loss.
We really do have excellent fans. I hope to see as many of you they’re as possible this Friday — I know we are going to be giving it our all.
Friday’s game will let us showcase how much our fans mean to us. I know personally how uplifting they can be — every game I make sure to find a group of fans and slap hands with them.
Last game, I had an interesting interaction with one of our younger fans. A fan had a sign, asking for my shoe, so I sent someone back to the locker-room and had them get one of my game shoes. I autographed it and gave it to the fan just to show them how much I appreciate their support.
There hasn’t been a home game since I’ve been here that I haven’t thrown a hat or a T-shirt, shoe, glove or game ball. It’s just to show the fans I do appreciate them.
I know they appreciate it and I appreciate them. I really hope to see as many of you guys there Friday being loud — we look forward to showing you guys how much you mean to us.
You guys can check me out on Twitter, too — @stampmachine I always have great conversations with our fans on Twitter. They’re never short on giving me good support. I love to talk with our fans about new movies or sitcoms and our fans always support me after each game. I really do appreciate all your support and encouragement because that has motivated me to meet a number of goals this season.
This Friday, I hope to show you how much I appreciate your support and keep adding to my sack tally. At the beginning of the season, I set out to hit double-digit sacks this year. My coaches and fans were probably expected the same thing. Now the next goal is to take the sack title.
I know its going to be cold this Friday but, thankfully, we have the best fans in the CFL. Can’t wait to see all you out there. It means a lot to the team — this game is for you guys!
