Hello everybody! Chevy here.
October is here and it’s PinkPower month. PinkPower month is our contribution to the awareness of women’s cancer issues. By taking part in PinkPower month, we can all show our support for the Canadian Cancer Society’s research of women’s cancers.
This is my second year as the team’s ambassador for PinkPower. The Stampeders and myself are very proud to be apart of Pink Power for a fifth consecutive year.
To get in the spirit, the Stamps will be selling PinkPower merchandise on game day on Oct. 20. Also, by going to Stampders.com/promo and entering the code GOPINK five dollars from every ticket goes to cancer research.
Fans are also encouraged to be involved with Pink Power via a new twitter contest. The way it works, add “pink” to your Twitter username or handle. For example mine is @CHEVYsPINKtime Notify me, I will follow you and direct message you a link to the donation, every 10 dollars you donate gets you an entry for some fantastic prizes.
Some of the prizes include a visit to the practice the day before the PinkPower game. You get to come to practice and meet the players after walkthrough, four tickets to the game and a gift basket after the game with game-worn pink gear from myself and my teammates. Furthermore, everyone who contributes will get a signed 8×10 photo of myself.
If we raise $5,000 dollars in donations before Tuesday Oct. 16, myself and Corey Mace will dye our hair pink for the week leading up to the PinkPower game on Oct. 20.
Last year, we raised $45,000 as a team and on the twitter campaign we raised $3,000 so let’s make it bigger this year and rise up with the Pink Army!
