The 30-30-30-30 Club
The Stampeders have scored more than 30 points in each of their four games this season. That marks the fifth time in franchise history the Red and White has surpassed the 30-point plateau in each of the first four games of a season.
The first four instances came in an 11-year span as the 1990, 1993, 1996 and 2000 editions of the Stampeders all accomplished the feat.
The 147 total points scored by this year’s team are the ninth most in franchise history after four games. The 1994 team leads the way with an astonishing 183 points — 45.8 points per game — in the season’s first four contests.

With six receiving touchdowns so far in 2012, slotback Nik Lewis has already surpassed the team-leading total of majors by a Calgary receiver for the entire 2011 campaign (Lewis, Johnny Forzani, Romby Bryant and Ken-Yon Rambo all had five scores a year ago to share top honours).
Lewis’ career high in touchdowns, set in 2008, is 10.
Through four games, Lewis has a league-leading 32 receptions for 362 yards, which puts him on a pace to shatter his previous single-season bests of 93 catches (set in 2011) and 1,379 yards (2005).
He has 11 more catches, 52 more yards and three more touchdowns than his previous best totals after Week 4 of a season.

Huff against the Lions
Since becoming head coach and general manager of the Stampeders after the 2007 season, John Hufnagel has enjoyed considerable success against the BC Lions.
He won his first eight straight regular-season games against the Lions and Wally Buono, the former Stamps head coach for whom Hufnagel once served as an assistant.
The Lions have won four of the five most recent meeting but nevertheless, including the 2008 West final, Hufnagel has a 10-4 lifetime record against BC.
Bidding for 3-0
The Stamps have won their first two games of the 2012 season at McMahon Stadium, a 180-degree turnaround from their 0-2 start at home a year ago.
Calgary is trying to win its first three home games of the season for the third time in the past 16 seasons, having accomplished the feat in 2000 and 2010.
