It’s going to be a fun, action-packed game.
We know the fans are going to be live and direct and it’s going to be rocking in the stadium. It’s going to be a fun game — it’s always a battle when we play Saskatchewan.
The Riders’ head coach knows us. He knows us well. I’m sure he’s going to be able to them what we do well and what we don’t do well, so we just have to mix up our looks and try to make it hard for them.
At the end of the day, the players still have to go out there and play so we just have to go out and try to make more plays than them.
After a tough year last year, Saskatchewan is off to a great start. I think they have a coach they’re buying into and they’re going out there and playing hard. They’re not making many mistakes, they’re not turning the ball over so that’s one thing that is going to be a focal point of the game — we have to create turnovers and we have to get our offence the ball back as much as we can.
With our secondary, we have pretty much a new group, especially with Keon not playing this week, but everyone is buying into the system. We’re all holding each other accountable and we all communicate well with each other.
We just have to keep growing as a unit and keep improving our chemistry. We don’t have any egos here. We’re all coachable and we’re all able to take criticism well.
As long as we have guys who know what they’re doing, who can step in and get the job done, we’ll be fine.
We’re four points away from being 3-0. We go out and we play hard and we have to put those close, tough losses behind us. There’s nothing we can do to change that. We just have to look to getting better — doing what we do, but just do it better.
We’ve made some mistakes. We just have to correct those and we should be fine.
