MacDougall: Right place, right time

Tonight, it was just being in the right spot at the right time.

Our defence was flying around all day, everyone was rallying to the ball and good things happen when we’re doing that.

On the fumble, I was just running to the ball, it ended up loose, took a good bounce and I got it. I saw the ball fall out, it broke loose, once I came loose I was just going for it. Nobody touched me, so it worked out well.

Defensively, I think we limited the number of big plays for them. They did have one big play, which we can improve on for sure.

It will be interesting to see the film and from there we will be able to figure out what we can work on.

Good or bad, in football you always just have to focus on the next play.

Our whole defence played awesome, our offence obviously moved the ball well and that was huge.

It feels so good for all the hard work starting back in rookie camp to be paying off early. Rick Campbell does a great job as DC. It was really great to see everyone today just flying around.

It was great — tons of fun.
