Talley: Rivalry games always matter

Tonight, we’re in Regina to face the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a pre-season game.

This game is all about continuing to improve my conditioning, being well-tuned and getting prepared for the start of the regular season.

I’m still trying to focus on what I need to do tonight with all of my assignments. Not just for the offence, but also for special teams.

I’m just trying to stay focused on that.

This is the second pre-season game for us so there’s a whole other level we have to bring our game to.

Each game is different and this one is going to be a little bit more intense since we’re playing Saskatchewan.

We have to get a little more focused and a little bit more prepared for this game because it’s a rivalry game. Even if it’s just pre-season, rivalry games still mean something.

It still means a whole lot when it comes to us and them.

It’s just going to be fun when we get out there.
