Stamps sign pair of receivers

Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that import receivers Curtis Walls and Joe West have signed contracts with the team. As per club policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
 
Walls spent five seasons (2003-07) with the North Carolina A&T Aggies and recorded 98 receptions for 1,101 yards. He led the team in receiving as a senior with 42 catches for 477 yards and one touchdown and was named to the All-Conference Team. Walls attended training camps with the Montreal Alouettes in 2010 and signed with the Tulsa Talons of the Arena Football League in 2011. Walls signed with the Toronto Argonauts prior to the 2011 season.
 
West played four seasons (2003-07) at Texas-El Paso and recorded 41 receptions for 734 yards and six touchdowns as a senior in 2007. For his college career, he had 93 receptions for 1,540 yards and 13 touchdowns. West was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2008 by the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and has also been a member of the New Orleans Saints and St. Louis Rams.
