Stamps unveil 2012 schedule

The Calgary Stampeders have released their 2012 schedule and will open the regular season on Canada Day — Sunday, July 1 — against the Montreal Alouettes at McMahon Stadium.

Calgary will be on the road during Weeks 2 and 3 and then play host to the rival Saskatchewan Roughriders in Week 4 on Thursday, July 19. It will be Saskatchewan’s only visit to Calgary during the regular season. Here are some other highlights of the schedule:

  • The defending Grey Cup champion BC Lions make their first visit to Calgary on Saturday, July 28 at 7 p.m.
  • The Labour Day Classic against the Edmonton Eskimos will be held on Monday, Sept. 3 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Henry Burris and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats make their only visit to McMahon Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m.
